Dr. Abeer Dababneh is currently the Director of the Center for Women’s Studies (CWS) at the University of Jordan (JU), which is one of the pioneer institutions in the Middle East that offers Master’s degree in Women’s Studies and conduct research and academic studies on women and gender-related issues at both the local and global levels.
Dababneh holds a Ph.D in Gender Studies from the University of Leicester in England. Her research focuses on women’s legal and political rights as human rights, International conventions on human rights and Arab Women’s Movements history and discourse.

Ola Khorchid is a dynamic and creative art therapist who employs the healing power of art creation to assist children and adults in developing higher self-awareness, discovering personal growth opportunities and enhancing emotional and psychological wellbeing.
She guides clients through a therapeutic art making process to help them voice and release charged feelings and challenging experiences; surmount traumas; manage undesirable behaviors; overcome self-limiting beliefs and restore balance.
Ola has been working as an art therapist and art therapy trainer at Maria Den Braven Centre since 2014. She is also on the Advisory Board of Science League for the subject of Art Therapy and Personal Growth. Making a life-long impact on people’s emotional and psychological well-being is at the core of her professional principles and personal values that she upholds to the highest level.
Ola received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at the Lebanese American University. She then went on to complete her two-year Art Therapy training certificate program at the College for Educational and Clinical Art Therapy in Australia.
She has also received her Acceptance and Commitment Therapy education through the certificate and training program of Dr. Russ Harris. Currently, she is pursuing her MSc in Mental Health Psychology at the University of Liverpool in UK.

Hzar Oqlah is a fourth year undergraduate student at Jordan University of Science and Technology currently working towards her degree in Industrial Engineering.
She is a freelance graphic designer since 2012. She has been honored by the reception of an award from the US Department of State for the best Logo Design for ” SheCab Project", winner of the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund.
In 2013 she succeeded as a young Jordanian entrepreneur to start her first self-run business, by designing crafts to sell them at Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts, Jordan. After that she has been working as a handicrafts designer in the festival from 2013 up till now.
She is currently the president of IEEE JUST Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group and she was a member of the organizing committee of the IEEE Jordan Student and Young Professional Congress 2017 (JSYP). She was the only Jordanian female who represented Jordan at the IEEE Region 8 Student and Young Professional Congress 2018 in Porto, Portugal and in the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit Tunisia 2018.
After winning a graphic design competition carried by Region 8 Women in Engineering, Hzar has joined IEEE R8 Women in Engineering Committee as a Publicity Officer. By that she became the first Jordanian committee member of IEEE Region 8 Women in Engineering.
