TINKERKatherine Czerniejewski, Julie Fetzer, and Dana Voll are the founders of TINKER: an organization that establishes engineering programs for high school girls on university campuses. Originally founded in 2015 as a single one-week summer camp at SUNY Buffalo, TINKER has since been established as an annual program and expanded to multiple universities. TINKER is designed to break down the barriers and stereotypes that often prevent young women from pursuing careers in STEM through mentorship and empowerment. Czerniejewski received her BS in Biomedical Engineering and BA in Mathematics from SUNY Buffalo in May 2016 and is currently obtaining her MSE at Johns Hopkins University in Bioengineering. Fetzer is pursuing a double major in Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering at SUNY Buffalo and will graduate with her BS in Spring 2017. Voll graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering in May 2016 and currently works for Northrop Grumman in Baltimore.
