Prof. Jun Li Visited the IEEE GRSS Wuhan Chapter

On January 18, 2021, Dr. Jun Li, the professor for hyperspectral remote sensing analysis at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), was invited to visit the RS group and gave an academic report about “Fusion of Remote Sensing and Social Media Big Data Based on Geographic Optimal Transmission Model”. The report was chaired by Professor Huanfeng Shen from the RS group, and dozens of teachers and students participated in Dr. Jun Li’s report.

Dr. Jun Li’s main research interests are: remote sensing image processing, including classification, segmentation, unmixing of hyperspectral images and image fusion; signal processing; social media big data analysis, high-performance computing research. She has published more than 100 papers in journals and conferences in the field of earth sciences and remote sensing, of which more than 70 SCI papers and 8 have been included as ESI highly cited papers, with more than 5,000 Google academic citations. Dr. Jun Li is an IEEE Fellow, the Chief Editor of IEEE JSTARS, and the Associate Editor of IEEE TGRS, the Invited Editor of Proceedings of the IEEE, and the Invited Editor of ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Dr. Jun Li is a member of the Management Committee of the IEEE Geosciences and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), the chairman of the IEEE Fellow/Senior Member committee, and a member of several conferences and organizations.
