Encouraging Activities within WSA IEEE Section

In order to grant the approval, we must plot a policy and implement it.
 
The policy includes the following:
  1. The chapter and/or the section’s entity must have a plan submitted using Vtools. These plans are to be submitted quarterly.
  2. The chapter and/or the section’s entity must apply and obtain the approval of the ExCom for the plan and the associated budget.
  3. The chapter and/or the section’s entity shall submit its requests to the ExCom through the Chairs of the chapter and/or the section’s entity e.g. if the activity is for young professionals, the Chair of YP must submit the plan, if it’s for students chapters’, the student activities chair must submit the request, etc.
  4. The chair of the chapter and/or the section’s entity shall submit a reimbursement request to the Chair/Vice Chair/Secretary/Treasurer of the section.
  5. The treasurer shall affect the reimbursements after making sure of the completeness of the procedure and documentation.

All new requests must follow the section’s policies/rules/guidelines and abide with it.

Additional Guidelines for Organizing Events

  1. No certificates shall be issued for participants/attendees for events less than half a day/4 hours.
    Violation of the above shall subject the responsible (the person who signs the certificates) to questioning.
  2. Training sessions and workshops organized by the section shall not be free. The ExCom shall decide upon the fees on a case by case.
  3. Only WSA’s IEEE Section logo shall be used on the certificates and these certificates shall bear the section’s seal.
  4. The condition stipulated in (8) above does not apply to accredited courses whose certificates are issued directly by IEEE.
