To welcome recent graduates into the IEEE GOLD Winnipeg community, we invite you to participate in a multi-facet event on May 9th that combines the best of what GOLD has to offer!

This event qualifies as APEGM Professional Development Hours

Event Schedule:

Part 1: Technical Seminar from the 2013 IEEE GOLD Capstone Award Recipients

Kasun Samarasekera, Udeesha Annakkage, and Malsha Annakkage will present their work on “Developing a Controller for an Electric Motorcycle Driven by a Permanent Magnet Brushed DC Motor”.

Part 2: Technical Workshop: “Quick & Dirty Way to Boot from a Linux Drive”

In under 60 minutes participants will be guided through the process of booting into Linux from a USB stick by current GOLD members, and will learn how to trouble-shoot some day-to-day problems.

Part 3: Networking + Snacks

Enjoy some delicious snacks while networking with current GOLD members. Learn how you can earn your APEGM Volunteer and Professional Development hours with IEEE GOLD.

Part 4: After Party at Triple B’s

Join IEEE GOLD for a relaxing evening of pool and beverages at Triple B’s.

IEEE GOLD Winnipeg focuses on professional development, technical expertise, and networking for recent graduates. This vibrant group organizes many events to help in the transition to industry.
