Abstract:

The University of Manitoba Space Applications and Technology Society (UMSATS) is proud to present two workshops on Matlab and Simulink.

The first workshop on February 23, 2011 will provide a foundation for Matlab. We will introduce the Matlab environment and the basic commands needed to write a program. Some of the topics covered include: arrays, matrices, conditional statements, loops, and plotting tools.

The second workshop on February 25, 2011 targets some of the more advanced users. In this session, we will introduce Simulink and show how one can model a block diagram representation of a control or communication system. In the process, students will also get experience in the Controls and Communications toolboxes.

Speaker Bio:

Arash Fazel Darbandi and Dario Schor are both graduate students in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba.
