Hannah Fogel (Chair)

Hello and welcome! My name is Hannah, and I’ve been involved with IEEE WIE since 2018. I am a 3rd year M.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. I work in the Electromagnetic Imaging Lab. My research is focused on developing a new ultrasound imaging system for breast cancer diagnosis. I love to read and spend time outdoors.

Marzieh Eini Keleshteri (Vice Chair)

Marzieh (Tamanna) Eini Keleshteri received a M.Sc. degree in pure mathematics from the University of Isfahan in Iran in 2007. She also received a M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics and computer sciences as well as a Ph.D. in mathematics from Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in electrical engineering at the University of Manitoba. She has acted as the vice-chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Winnipeg since September 2019. She was one of the recipients of Price Graduate Scholarships for Women in Engineering during 2019-2020.

Jasmin Cochingco (Secretary)

Hi! My name is Jasmin, and I am in the second year of my Master’s in Electrical Engineering. I am currently doing research in optical signal modeling of polystyrene beads and Chinese Hamster Ovary cells. These models are to be used in tandem with the dielectrophoresis system developed by the U of M Biosensors Group. In my free time, I like to play volleyball and go on walks with my dog Pepper.

Rashmi

Hi, I am Rashmi. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Manitoba. My current research area is related to signal compression.

I have been with WIE since 2018 and acted as the secretary in 2018/2019. In my free time I like to read books and engage in DIY projects.

Emma
