Kathleen is a retired research analyst and computer engineer for the Human Factors Team in the Research and Development Laboratory, at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey. During the Next Generation studies, Kate managed computer systems which involved certified air traffic controllers and simulation pilots. The programs were complex and required teams with several levels of expertise. She performed research and development of Human Factors operations and projects and prepared study data, audio and video materials.

Prior to the FAA, Kathleen managed and implemented computer systems, managed software engineer development teams. She upgraded software and implementing systems for Astra Zeneca merger. As Civil Court Administrator, she was instrumental in implemented the new rules of court for the Chester County Courthouse, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Kathleen received her Bachelor’s degree in Organization Dynamics and Management from Immaculata University of Malvern, Pennsylvania. In addition, she has completed studies in Information Technology, Computer Science and Microsoft Administration.

Kathleen is the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Chair, Philadelphia Section, past IEEE USAWIE Liaison, past IEEE Region 2 WIE Coordinator, past IEEE Section SNJ WIE Chair. Kate serves as a member of the WIE Outreach and WIE Magazine committees.

Kathleen has three children and four grandchildren whom she loves with all her heart
