A Wearable Technology Workshop using Lilypad Arduino was organised by IEEE Women in Engineering Victoria at the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Asia-Pacific International Student Conference 2022 in Melbourne, Australia.

This introductory workshop on wearable technology gave participants hands-on experience in using the Lilypad Arduino board, a sewable microcontroller that allows embedding LED lights, sounds, sensors, and much more into wearables.

The workshop covered installing Arduino software and connecting and uploading basic programs to the Lilypad board to connect with LEDs and sensors. Participants were also guided to design a simple circuit and sew electronic components onto fabric using conductive threads.
