It was another exciting event organized by WIE group with the collaboration of AP-MTT Chapter, aiming to give a hands-on experience of using Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology. This event was the first NFC workshop we organized, and the positive feedback we received was encouraging.

Starting with a live demonstration of playing a song using a pre-programmed NFC tag, the introduction continued explaining what NFC is, how it works, the science behind it, practical applications, and how it is widely used in the current world. After the introduction, the practical session was started showing how to program the tags using a mobile phone application and Arduino board. It was a combination of different NFC tags such as NFC nail tags, MiFare cards, and stickers. We could guide everyone step by step showing how to program those tags.

Finally, it was an enjoyable, valuable and successful session and everyone was looking forward to continuing the series.
