Abstract: Dr Mohamed Laoucet Ayari, Tunisian scientist and scientific advisor at the American National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA). Among his many scientific achievements, Dr Ayari recently set up a system, using an electronic telescope capable of detecting and observing the lunar crescent. The invention, which will facilitate the observation of the lunar crescent in spite of adverse weather conditions, will save considerable time and efforts to determine the position of the lunar aster in setting up the beginning of religious holidays or events.
