RTAS 2020 virtual format – message from organizers

RTAS is a world-wide community, with strong representation throughout Asia, Europe and across the Americas. As such, there are no times that are not in the middle of the night for a significant fraction of the community.

We therefore decided not to have live talks, which would advantage some and disadvantage others (including inevitably some of the authors). Instead we will have videos for all talks recorded by the authors. These will go live on the morning of Wed, 22 April Sydney time, i.e., at the time the physical conference was supposed to start.

IEEE 2019 RTSS cancellation notice

This message is to inform that the 2019 IEEE RTSS conference originally postponed from December 2019 has been cancelled.  While we had planned to hold the event in early 2020 in York, UK, this has proved to be impractical at such short notice.

Registered participants will be provided full refunds of registration fees and will receive an email on next steps.

Call for Proposals to Host RTSS 2021

Dear Real-Time Systems Community:

IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS) is the flagship conference on real-time systems. We are soliciting proposals for hosting RTSS 2021. The Executive Committee will review all submitted proposals, and select a set of proposals to be considered and voted on during the TCRTS meeting held at RTSS’19 (postponed to early 2020 – see http://2019.rtss.org/). Those submitting the proposals will be expected to attend this meeting and make a short presentation concerning the location they are nominating.

In 2021, RTSS is slated to be held in Asia, so preference will be given to locations in Asia. However, if we receive an insufficient number of nominations from Asia, other regions will be considered as well.

Proposals for hosting do not require formal budgets, but providing some sense of potential costs is expected. Also, information concerning potential meeting spaces, hotels, travel connections, things to do of local interest, etc., would be useful.

Proposals should be submitted to lu@wustl.edu no later than January 17, 2020. Please consider volunteering to host RTSS 2021!

Best regards,
Chenyang Lu
