We invite you to participate in the 2021 IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS), the premier conference on real-time systems to be held in Dortmund for in-person participation and around the globe for online participation.

Online registration is now open: http://2021.rtss.org/registration/ [2]
Early registration deadline for physical (in-person) participants:
        October 27th, 2021
Call for student travel grants deadline:
        October 29th, 2021, http://2021.rtss.org/travel-grant/ [3]
Late registration deadline for physical (in-person) participants:
        November 10th, 2021
Registration deadline for virtual participans:
December 10th, 2021 (possible till the last day of the
conference)

The conference program will span over four days, from Tuesday, December 7th to Friday, December 10th, 2021. Compared to the traditional RTSS format, there will be no distinction between the Hot Topics Day (HTD) and the three days of the conference. This means that there may be presentations normally appearing during the main conference scheduled on Tuesday, as well as presentations normally happening in the HTD scheduled from Wednesday to Friday.

RTSS 2021 has the following highlights:

  • The keynote talk on “Physical Real-Time Computing” given by Lothar Thiele, ETH Zurich, who was awarded with the IEEE TCRTS Outstanding Achievement and Leadership Award
  • A top-quality technical program consisting of 39 papers spanning all areas of real-time systems, listed in http://2021.rtss.org/conferenceformat/ [4]
  • A brief presentation session including Work-in-Progress (WiP) presentations and presentations of results published in journals and never in conferences, listed in http://2021.rtss.org/accepted-brief-presentations/ [5]
  • An industry session with a challenge proposed by PerceptIn, a rising-star  company dedicated to autonomous driving systems, and several corresponding solutions by research groups from America, Europe and Asia.
  • The RTSS@Work demo session
  • A special session titled “Self-Adaptive Safety- and Mission-critical CPS: Wishful Thinking or Absolute Necessity?”

Tentatively, we plan to have most presentations by virtual attendees on Tuesday, December 7th and Friday, December 10th, and presentations by physical attendees on Wednesday, December 8th, and Thursday, December 9th.

We plan to publish a more detailed program no later than Friday, October 22nd.

We look forward to a great conference with your participation!
