Venue and Travel

The venue of the symposium is the Clarion Hotel Helsinki, which is located in the new Jätkäsaari urban investment district in the central West Harbor area. The hotel is a vibrant meeting place for both locals and hotel guests. Helsinki’s city center, shops, and metro station are just a short walk away. Alternatively you can hop on a tram right next to the hotel.

How to Reach the Venue?

By Train and Tram

You may take the train I or P from the airport (Lentoasema) towards Helsinki. The train connection from the airport (Terminal 1) takes about 30 min to reach the Helsinki Central Railway Station (Helsingin päärautatieasema). After reaching the central railway station, you can walk about 400 m to the tram stop Rautatieasema (Stop ID: 0302). Take tram 7 or 9 from Rautatieasema and get off at the stop Huutokonttori. The Clarion Hotel Helsinki is about 100 m from the stop.

The conference guests will be provided with a 3-day public transportation ticket at the conference registration desk on Thursday morning. Hence, you only need to buy a single ticket from the airport to the hotel.

If you prefer traveling by taxi, they are available 24 hours a day in front of terminals 1 and 2. It takes about 30 min and costs about 40 €.
