Subject: Statement about Water Shortage in Cape Town
There has been some recent news reports about “Day Zero” in April 2018 in Cape Town when water will be turned off. We are pleased to let you know the city of Cape Town has announced that there will be no day zero for 2018. The city of Cape Town is welcoming SIPS 2018 attendees. Rest assured that the Organizing Committee for SIPS 2018 have been assured that there will be water and this issue will not affect our conference. We look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town in October 2018.
IEEE SiPS 2018 will have Special Sessions on “Signal Processing Systems for Radio Astronomy” and “Architectures for Machine Learning Algorithms.” Other Special Session proposals can also be submitted via the same website.
