What a beautiful day to tour one of the oldest hydro-power plants in the Pacific Northwest! IEEE YP partnered with Puget Sound Energy to give an in depth tour of the underground power house to twenty enthusiastic IEEE members and their families. As well as an underground glimpse of the original generators, the tour also consisted of a museum visit that chronicled Charles Bakers development of the project in the late 1890’s. We were restricted to 20 participants and everyone showed up.
The power plant will be celebrating its 120th birthday next year!
