IEEE SCV YP Summer Hike – Rancho San Antonio Park

Summer is here and so is our annual IEEE SCV YP Hike! This year we’ll be hiking the scenic Rancho San Antonio Park on June 30th. We’ll be hiking the High Meadow trail + Rogue Valley Trail. The total distance is about 4 miles and it should take about 2 hours.

 

IEEE Young Professionals Summer Hike – Lands End Trail @ San Francisco

Join IEEE Young Professionals for our summer hike at Land’s End Trail at San Francisco. Lands End Trail is a 3.4 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near San Francisco that features beautiful wild flowers. It explores the historic Sutro Baths and offers brilliant view of the Pacific. At the tip of Lands End is Point Lobos, named by the Spanish for its many lobos marinos (sea wolves), as the barks of those sea lions, as they are called today, drifted up from the rocks below.

Scavenger Hunt at the Computer History Museum

Discover the coolest, most amazing tidbits and terabytes of the Information Age on a tour of this Silicon Valley museum in Mountain View. You’ll follow a trail of clues in search of answers to tricky, amusing questions about everything from early colossal computers to AI Robots.

The first teams to successfully hunt down all clues will receive a surprise gift! You’re welcome to explore the museum on your own or with the groups, after the event as well.

Located off the 101 Freeway, in Mountain View, CA, the Computer History Museum is a nonprofit organization with a four-decade history as the world’s leading institution exploring the history of computing and its ongoing impact on society. The Museum is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of computer history and is home to the largest international collection of computing artifacts in the world, encompassing computer hardware, software, documentation, ephemera, photographs, oral histories, and moving images.
