Ever wonder what exactly IP law is and how it could impact your new idea and business? Join us for an overview of the fundamentals of intellectual property to help engineers and entrepreneurs develop a working knowledge to protect and capitalize innovations, as well as to understand the associated legal risks. This presentation will first introduce the major legal frameworks for IP – patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets – as well as the various advantages and drawbacks for each of those categories.
