Sustainability Definition

Sustainability: the pursuit of environmentally sound development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the future.

The charter of the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Sustainability Chapter, SVS, (formerly known as Silicon Valley Photovoltaics Society, SVPVS) is to provide a forum on current topics of renewable energy and sustainability of technical interest to IEEE members to inspire them to create a sustainable world.
With a strong society we seek to promote the development and competitiveness of the sustainability industry in the Bay Area by improving the awareness of relevant technologies, by forming a network between business and science and by simply getting to know each other in this field.

The society has a monthly meeting with an invited seminar and abundant networking opportunity.

You may also join the SCVS LinkedIn group to connect with others!

Occasionally we post technically oriented sustainability job openings, click here.
