Abstract:
A conversation about the market dynamics and system architectural trends towards a smaller, faster, and cheaper STB solution. A comparison of different STB types and key features that drives STB design trends.
Speaker Biography:
Hoan Tran is a senior segment marketing manager at Micron’s Embedded Business Unit for the past 5-years. Mr. Tran is responsible for leading and defining business plans for the Connected Home market, and establishing strategic alignment with OEMs and MSOs at Micron.
Mr. Tran joined Micron in 2010 as part of the Numonyx acquisition. Prior to Micron, he has held positions as a global wireless business development and technical marketing manager for Apple, Motorola, and RIM while at Intel/Numonyx. He graduated with BS of EEE in 1993 at CSU Sacramento, and developed his technical foundation as a MCP program manager and applications engineering for flash memories at Intel, and 5-yrs as an FAE.
