IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

IEEE, pronounced “Eye-triple-E,” stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The association is chartered under this name and it is the full legal name. To learn more about the association’s name, for more information please read the History of IEEE.

Your Local Chapter

At Western IEEE, we aim to provide members with as many opportunities as possible to learn new technical skills and gain experience through projects and workshops. We also heavily focus on developing and improving professional skills and connecting like-minded individuals with each other.

By attending our in-depth workshops, build a strong technical foundation in Soldering, Autocad, Eagle, Python, Solidworks, and more.

As a student chapter focusing on students, it goes without saying that the students opinions are incredibly important to us. Please contact any of our executives or contact us under the “Contact Us” tab and we will try to do what we can to ensure students get what they need.
