You’re invited to attend the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group and Women in STEM society forum on “Unconscious Bias in the Workplace” with Guest Speakers: Annie Harper and Jacqueline Jezzard.
The forum on “Unconscious Bias in the Workplace” will be held on Monday, 27th February, from 5pm – 8pm in UOW 24-102.
One of our guest speakers, Annie Harper, is passionate about improving the representation of women in STEM and she is using her skills to create a virtual reality simulation focusing on unconscious bias in the workplace.
So we decided to hold a forum to give her some ideas based on the experiences of women working in the industry in the past and present.
This is a great opportunity to network with current industry representatives.
Please contact Alanna Vial to sign in for this event.
After going through all the official processes, we have received the confirmation of forming of the “IEEE UOW Student Branch-Women in Engineering Affinity Group”

We know it’s a quick invitation. But, if you are around the Uni just join us to congratulate and encourage the WIE affinity group.
Special thank goes to Alanna who is our WIE representative for all her works to form the affinity group.
