IC The Future Project Exhibition Competition

IEEE-TCET in collaboration with EXTC department had organized IC The Future Project Exhibition Competition on 16th April, 2018. The Project Exhibition Competition was for the Second Year EXTC students.

The competition was organized by the Department to motivate and expose the students to a practical experience of how to make the projects. It also gave them a glimpse of what they need to do in their progressive years.  

OBJECTIVES:

  • The competition was organized to motivate students of Second Year to practically implement circuits and experience all the problems that one faces while doing so and finding their solution.
  • Understand the concept of Mini Project.

       


    Exhibition in Micro-controllers (EXIM)

    IEEE-TCET and the department of EXTC had organized a project exhibition called EXIM on 29th March,2019. This exhibition was for the students of Third Year of EXTC department.

    This exhibition was organized for the students to showcase their work on Mini Project which was a part of the curriculum. The students had practical exams scheduled for the Mini Project and this helped them prepare for the same while also opening a door for TE students and faculties to have a look at what the students had come up with.

    OBJECTIVES:

    • To provide a platform for students to present their ideas and project.
    • Learn about the ideas that the students had come up with.
    • Let the students gain important feedback from faculty and other students.

   


Workshop on Virtual Reality using Python

IEEE-TCET had organized a hands-on technical workshop on Virtual Reality Using Python during Multicon W’19 on 22nd & 23rd February 2019.This workshop was conducted for the students of Second Year and Third Year of EXTC department for 2 days with 7 hours sessions each day.

This workshop helped the students understand the concept of Virtual Reality & also the basics of Python Coding. It made them aware, how Virtual Reality is being used across various fields and how it can be applied using python code and various software associated with it.

OBJECTIVES:-

  • Introduction to app development.
  • Understanding the importance and use of app making.
  • Being able to create an application by the end of the workshop.
               


Workshop on IoT And Embedded Systems

This workshop was a SKEP(Skill and Knowledge Enhancement Program) session provided by IEEE Bombay Section. It introduced to the students the various new technologies and scope in the domain of IoT and Embedded Systems and also gave them hands on experience for the same.

  • Mr. Hannan Satopay- (TPAC) IEEE Bombay Section

Objectives:

  • Introducing the students with new and upcoming  technologies
  • Students will develop the ability of prototyping their ideas
  • Explaining to them the real life applications of this technology
  • Helps the students to develop their research interest
  • Helps them strengthen their Proof of Concept (PoC)       

Department Level Debate Competition

The department had organized this event of Department Level Debate Competition on 15th February , 2019. This debate competition was for students of Second Year and Third Year students of EXTC department competing to win this debate competition.

This competition was organized by the institute to encourage students to read newspapers and check out their knowledge on general knowledge and have students of our department come together and compete to win a prize

OBJECTIVES:

      • Debates improve or expanding one’s knowledge of things, either general or in specific area.
      • Debates are designed to promote, a fun way to study and in the process help improve one’s general knowledge.
      • Debate competitions enables students to think from different angles or simply ‘to think out of the box’.



Innovation with Basics

IEEE-TCET had organized this event of Innovation with Basics on 20th July,2018. This seminar was for the students of Second Year of EXTC department.

This seminar was organized to increase the technical knowledge of the students about the projects in different domains and it would help them to build their mini projects. This will also help them to explore new domain projects which they weren’t introduced to yet. This venture is bought in by IEEE-TCET members to update the students about the projects which could be availed by them for their mini projects.

OBJECTIVES:-

  • Introduction to different domains
  • Understanding various projects in various domains.
  • Brainstorming ideas for mini projects.

     


Deep Learning

IEEE-TCET had organized a seminar on Deep Learning-How it is Transforming the
industries at scale by Mr.Tarry Singh. This seminar was conducted for the students of Fourth
year of EXTC, CMPN and IT departments.
This seminar was organized to invoke interest about Deep Learning for the
students who were new to Deep Learning and motivated students to gain more knowledge about
the same. This seminar would also help them to explore more about Deep learning and how is it
useful in different domains of projects for their final year and in further fields they pursue. This
venture was brought in by IEEE-TCET members to guide the BE students more towards the
working of Industries at scale and how Artificial Intelligence affects them. This was also done to
help them out with their respective projects and research. This seminar also made people realise
how much they have to get into AI inorder to make the future a brighter one.
PARTICIPANTS:- Fourth Year students of EXTC, CMPN and IT Departments.

OBJECTIVES:-
● Introduction to Deep Learning
● Understanding various domains in deep learning.
● Knowledge for projects and research
● Understanding the transformation of Industries due to AI


Graphic Designing

IEEE-TCET had organized this event of Introduction to Graphic Designing on 24th August,2018. This seminar was for the students of Second Year and Third Year of EXTC department.

This seminar was organized to introduce the students to graphic designing. The purpose of this seminar was to initiate the interest of graphic designing in students.

PARTICIPANTS:- Second Year and Third Year students of EXTC Department.

OBJECTIVES:-

  • To know the basics of graphic designing.
  • To understand how it can be useful in day to day life.
  • To know about the demand of graphic designing in the market.


Alumni Interaction-1

IEEE-TCET had organized an event on Alumni Interaction on 28th August, 2018. This session was conducted for the students of Third Year of EXTC department.

The Alumni for this session was Mr. Kumar Abhishek Singh from batch 2006. He is currently an Entrepreneur. He has an experience of more than 10 years in the industry.

He was also a lecturer in TCET in the year 2006. He has pursued is MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trades. His two of the main ventures are Nutream Foods and Greenchem Ind.

PARTICIPANTS:- Third Year students of EXTC Department.


Alumni Interaction-2

IEEE-TCET had organized an event on Alumni Interaction on 5th October, 2018. This session was conducted for the students of Third Year of EXTC department.

The Alumni for this session was Ms. Ipsita Mishra from batch 2013 who was invited by Mrs. Rupali Mane. She is currently working with KPMG India as a part of deal advisory team. She holds a postgraduate degree in MBA(Finance & Consulting) from S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai. She has also worked with ZS associates on a long term engagement for one of the biggest pharmaceutical players in USA.

PARTICIPANTS:- Third Year students of EXTC Department.


App Development Workshop

IEEE-TCET had organized an event on 90 Minutes App Development Challenge on 31st August,2018. This seminar was conducted for the students of Second Year and Third Year of EXTC department.

This seminar was conducted for the students to make a mobile application of their own. The students were able to make the basic app in under 90 minutes.

PARTICIPANTS:- Second and Third Year students of EXTC Department.

OBJECTIVES:-

  • Introduction to app development.
  • Understanding the importance and use of app making.
  • Being able to create an application by the end of the workshop.


Actions on Google

IEEE-TCET had organized this event Actions On Google on 6th October,2018. This workshop was for the students of TCET as well as Students from other colleges

This workshop was organized to introduce the students to Google Assistant. The purpose of this workshop was to initiate the interest of making an app which with the help of Google Assistant.

PARTICIPANTS:-TCET students and Other College students.

OBJECTIVES:-

  • To know Google Assistant
  • To understand how an app can be made from Google Assistant


Industrial Visit to Coorg-Mysore-Bangalore

Industrial Visit organised by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers under Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering for Second year & Third year students to the industries- Ace Components(Mysore), Nandini Dairy(Mysore) and ISRO(Bangalore).

Duration: 1st January to 9th January, 2019.

Participants: Principal, Deans, Faculty, Staff and students.

Objectives:

  • The IV was organized to help students of EXTC to become competent professionals with a sense of responsibility and social sensitivity.
  • This visit helped in imparting professional education using active learning techniques to transform the students to be competent and committed engineers meeting the demands of present as well as future.

 


Industrial Visit to Libratherm Instruments

IEEE-TCET had organized this One Day Industrial Visit on 19th September,2018. This IV was for the students of Second Year and Third Year of EXTC department.
