The spectacular event titled “Industrial Talk : Nuclear Power in Bangladesh” organized by IEEE PUST Student Branch on 19 August, 2023 at Pabna University of Science and Technology focused on the better understanding, insights and future of Nuclear Energy. The event engrossed on the development of nuclear power to meet the growing energy demands and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.
The session started with the remarks of our chief guest Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE, PUST. Counselor, IEEE PUST Student Branch, where he highlighted the future aspects of nuclear energy and the electricity of the nation.
We also had the privilege to have our special guest, Md. Shamim Hossain, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE, PUST. Advisor, IEEE PUST Student Branch.
After the welcoming remarks of the keynote speaker of this inspirational event Md. Shahriyer Kabir, Assistant Manager (Electronics), Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Ltd, presented his slides lightening on the better understanding and insights of the only nuclear power plant of Bangladesh, Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant. He also highlighted the impact, importance and future of nuclear energy alongside the advantages and drawbacks.
And this program is chaired by Md. Omar Faruk, Chair, IEEE PUST Student Branch. At the closing act of the event, Md. Omar Faruk to provide the event-ending speech and encouraged the participants working with IEEE and IEEE PUST Students Branch.
Altogether, the event was informative and interactive as the participants got to get introduced more with the nuclear power throughout this incredible journey of inspiration, learning and connection.
