About Branch

The IEEE Student branch at Panimalar Institute of Technology was established in 2013 and is one of the vibrant student branch in Madras Section, R10. As a result of the student branch’s consistent growth throughout the years, a significant number of new members join every year. The primary goal of the Student Branch is to help students recognize the challenges they will face in the real world and foster their innovative ideas by guiding them through the implementation process with the help of mentors. The various chapters within the Student Branch focus on specific areas and organize a range of activities such as technical talks, conferences, seminars, tutorials, short-term courses, workshops, paper contests, technical colloquia, and project contests and some non technical contests to engage the students.

In addition to the student chapters, there is also an affinity group called IEEE Women in Engineering, which operates under the umbrella of this Student Branch. This group aims to support and empower women in the field of engineering.

The Executive Committee, comprised of dedicated volunteers, works tirelessly to expand the range of activities offered by the Society and its chapters. Their continuous efforts aim to provide students with enriching experiences and opportunities within the IEEE community.

The primary purpose of IEEE student branch is to Inspire, Enable, Empower and Energize our student members to enhance their technical interests by providing them a platform to show case their skills.

BRANCH MISSION

To arrange for regular events in the campus specifically dealing with latest technologies.
To work towards inspiring more students to become members.
To increase the Membership Retention, though the benefits of IEEE.
To organize technical awareness programs for young professionals.
To form more Special Interest Groups to encourage project activity among the student members.
To kindle students interest in making new papers and projects.
To strive towards achieving more IEEE-sponsored awards and aim at representing papers in international conferences.

It is my honour to serve as a BRANCH COUNSELOR for IEEE PANIMALAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY STUDENT BRANCH.It is my huge delight to welcome you to the site of IEEE PIT SB.

IEEE provides a phenomenal opportunity for students to build up their leadership,communication and networking, skills and furthermore it is spot of gaining technical knowledge. As an IEEE PIT SB Counselor it is my responsibility to provide all the benefits of ieee to the more prominent extent.I consistantly guide the students,enjoy teaching,welcome their innovative ideas and watching them applying those ideas and learning new concepts which will enhance their knowledge and skills.

The main objective of me is to make students professionally fit for their dream career with subsequent knowledge and networks which can be obtained by organizing various events.Guest lectures, workshops , celebrations ,competitions are some of the events which regularly takes place in our SB in order to encourage students to participate and learn new stuffs. This will also motivate other students to get this benefit by joining IEEE. Still it isn’t about a solitary individual exertion to reliably make our SB dynamic ,students are constantly enthused about chipping in exercises and are prepared to take up challenges.

The student branch of the IEEE Panimalar Institute of Technology is one of the most active and vibrant student branch in Madras Section (Region 10). It gives me great pleasure to act in the chairmanship of the IEEE PIT SB. I want to express my deep gratitude to my student branch advisor and the IEEE PIT SB volunteers for providing me with this opportunity.

By giving students opportunities to learn and progress in numerous sectors, our SB aims to instill a variety of talents in them and also prepare them for the workforce. As chairman, I would make sure that IEEE activities in my SB are thriving and that students are aware of the most recent developments in technology.

Our student branch works hard to inspire students to get involved in various volunteer and charitable activities, equipping them with technical expertise and showing them the way to success.
