The first orientation program for the RAS Student Chapter, internally referred to as the OUCE Robotics Club was held on 1st August, 2018. The program was hosted by the IEEE OUCE SB members. Its objective was to inform the students about the plan and working of the club for the current academic year, and the procedure for joining. Students from all 6 branches and all 4 years could attend the program.
The attendees were told in detail, with the help of a PowerPoint presentation, about the sessions, seminars and workshops that are planned on being held. Along with information about the club, the attendees were also told about IEEE as an organization. Information about benefits of an IEEE membership, what services it provides especially for students and other related details were given to the attendees.
The program ended with a Q and A session, where attendees were free to clarify any doubts regarding anything that was discussed that day, including but not limited to the functioning of the club and the IEEE membership.
