A one-day workshop was conducted on 4th August, 2018 in the Electrical Engineering Department in order to introduce and make familiar the working of ShareLatex. The workshop was taught and presided over by Prof. G. Mallesham and lecturer Mr. J. Upendar. The workshop included both a theoretical as well as a practical approach to the topic of Share-Latex. A number of B.E. and M.E. students from various departments and years attended this workshop as LaTeX is one of the most widely used document preparation system with applications in academia for the communication and publication of scientific documents in many fields, including mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, chemistry, physics, economics, linguistics, quantitative psychology, philosophy, and political science. It also has a prominent role in the preparation and publication of books and articles that contain complex multilingual materials, such as Sanskrit and Greek.
