Monica Garcia is currently attending Michigan State University to obtain her B.S. in Electrical Engineering. While she has been matriculated, she has obtained a position as an Info Tech Specialist for the College of Arts and Letters. She has also brought out her left side of the brain to the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams by designing cable route layouts and schematics, as well as working on minor projects for the Controls Department. Her intricate work is being introduced and noted to engineers and scientists assisting on this 30 year project that’ll enable them to better understand the physics of nuclei. She recently became an active member of the IEEE MSU Student Branch and is serving as their social media manager, and has also been involved in volunteer work.
