A one day workshop on Product Design was organized at MSRIT campus on 10th October 2015 The event was supported by IEEE Bangalore Section,EMB Bangalore Chapter in association with Philips innovation Center Bangalore.

Mr Abhimanyu,Mr Praveen Mareguddi, Mr Arnab Chakravarti and Mr Sumant Kunte from Philips organized this event. Students from Electronics, Mechanical,Electrical,Medical Electronics attended this event.

The participants were introduced on the  to the innovation process

The product design session covered  stages such as discovering market opportunity, framing a challenge, converting insights into product proposition and validating propositions with customers.

An insight on the   basics of designing user experience and building quick prototypes was given. The afternoon session was more on interactive aspects with the entire 32 participants were divided into 4 groups and were given a task of proposing a product design
