5The inaugural event of Telemedicine Society of India, Karnataka Chapter was held on 12th September,2015  at the Teleradiology  Solutions,Whitefield,Bangalore.The invited guest was Mr.U T Khader,Minister of Health and Family welfare, Government of Karnataka and the session was inaugurated by Dr.Mohammed Rafi,Health  Department,GoK.

The objective of the conclave was to create awareness about the impact of Telemedicine in health care delivery and establish the fact that the telemedicine is not just for regions with medical access but is also an important tool to expedite process in developed cities.

The conclave included panel discussions by eminent speakers on :

  • What’s Up in Telemedicine Technology
  • What’s Up in Telemedicine Practice
  • Legal Aspects in Telemedicine
  • Business Models in Telemedicine

It brought together medical practitioners from across Karnataka including Medical Directors, Hospital owners, CXOs, Engineers associated with healthcare software developments as well as medical and healthcare management students.

Volunteers for the conclave

IEEE EMBS MSRIT chapter,IEEE EMBS Bangalore Chapter in association with Aarogya Seva had setup a stall to give an insight on their Pilot Study -” Mobile Tele Health Care for Rural India”

The study explained to us the system usage in the medical camps which comprised of an Odriod with Android Kit-Kat V4.4 and also briefed about its specification.

The conclave was concluded by a lecture on Telemedicine and eHealth in Ayurveda and was successful in providing a platform for all to exchange thoughts on various aspects of Telemedicine in India.
