The IEEE EMBS MSRIT STUDENT CHAPTER celebrated “IEEE Day” on 1st October, 2013 at the college premises. The event included guest lectures by the Guest of Honour for the day Mr. Adithya Pasupuleti, Entrepreneur in Residence, Villgro Innovations Foundation and a Stanford Bio-design intern  and by Ms. Supriya Babu, Faculty, Department of Medical Electronics, MSRIT.

The first lecture by Ms. Supriya Babu stressed on the need to communicate ideas. She demonstrated the ways by which ideas can change the way we perceive the world around us. These ideas if communicated well can have the right impact on research. If they are not communicated effectively, great ideas are lost. The famous talks by Mr. Steve Jobs given at Stanford University and by Ms. Nancy Duarte at a TEDx event was presented which helped the audience to understand the act of putting ideas to movement and to implement the researched works which can bring a radical change in the world.

The second lecture by Mr. Adithya Pasupuleti, an alumni of MSRIT presented to the audience a talk about choosing right projects in the college. This made the students connect to the topic instantly.  He proposed his trial and learnt techniques to identify the problem, select a problem, have a knowledge of the gap analysis and validation of the problem to make the chosen project a success. He also emphasized on the need for brain-storming sessions, concept generation sessions and tips on time and commitment during the course of work on a project. He gave interesting examples to illustrate the ways by which student projects can make a difference in the world today. All it needs is proper implementation and support.

The IEEE Day was indeed a grand success which motivated the students to perform better, think logically, and put their ideas into motion.
