IOT AND 5G APPLICATIONS
Wael Guibene from Intel Corporation, USA will present the recent trends in IOT and 5G.
Wael Guibene is a Systems Modeling Engineer within SSG at Intel. Prior to this position, Wael was a Research Scientist at Intel Labs Europe (headquartered in Ireland) working on next generation Internet of Things technologies and protocols and their applications in industrial IoT, smart cities, precision farming..
Previously, Wael worked for Semtech as a Wireless Protocol Engineer for LoRa products where he was highly involved in the definition and E2E system architecture of the LoRaWAN protocol. Prior to that, Wael worked as Research Engineer at EURECOM Research Center in France on various EU funded projects related to cognitive/software defined radios and PHY/MAC novel algorithms for 4G/5G communications.
Wael was awarded a PhD in Electronics and Communications from Telecom ParisTech, an MSc in Computer Science and M-Eng Degree in Telecommunication respectively from University Paris Descartes (France) and the National Engineering School of Tunis (Tunisia).
