IEEE Rising Stars Conference

This past January, IEEE Rising Stars held a conference designed to bring young engineers and students together to network and inspire one another. An IEEE Rising Stars Conference is held every year that has several different beneficial opportunities, including listening to and networking with technical speakers, developing professional skills, participating in workshops and competitions, and building future career opportunities. One student, Karl Ventayen, further describes this experience, “IEEE Rising Stars is an enriching experience. I enjoyed attending panels, meeting with industry professionals, and networking with other like minded people. I would definitely recommend this experience to students who are interested in learning more about the field.”.

We will have the projects decided and you can sign up for which ones (if any) you would like to be a part of this year. We will also be discussing any fundraising ideas for IEEE professional memberships. We may also have workshops or lecture dates set up, so bring your calendar! Also, bring any questions you may have about this club, or suggestions of anything we can help you with.

See you there!

IEEE Officers

IEEE General Meeting

We are holding our first introductory meeting on September 10th at 5pm in OCNL 254. All engineering majors are welcome to attend! At this meeting you sign up to be an IEEE member, join project groups, share project ideas, ask questions, meet your peers and have some snacks. We want everyone to become members so bring a friend to meet our officers and get some insight into getting the most out of your time at Chico State.
