BUET WIE Student Branch Affinity Group in association with Department of EEE, BUET organized the signature EEE Day event “EEE Day Humanitarian Technology Poster Competition 2018” on 12 July 2018 from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm to give the aspiring engineering students a platform to grab the opportunity of evaluating their work and practicing their presentation skills.

Over the years poster presentation has become one of the main attraction of conferences. To present your research work in a conference and grab their attention to your research topic you need to have knowledge about how to write a valuable poster. To share your research ideas, to receive compliments on your work and critiques that can help you in the future you need to present your poster in a formal yet attractive way.

Participants identified one or more than one problems faced by women in Bangladesh and each team showcased an idea in their poster that gives a technology based solution to the problems

18 teams , each consisting of at least one female member participated in this competition . Head of the Department of EEE , Prof. Dr. Shafiqul Islam , Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz , Chairperson of IEEE Bangladesh Section also visited the competition and listened to young engineers talking about their ideas. A total of 68 people participated in this competition. It was a great learning experience for the participants.
