IEEE has 38 societies, from Power and renewable energy to engineering in medicine and biology, as well as computer society. Our mission is to create student chapters of these societies, here at AUB, to provide interested members with a better IEEE experience.
WIE AUB: IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering. WIE at AUB follows the same mission by promoting STEM fields to young girls and encouraging them to pursue it in academia and career. WIE always sheds the light on strong successful women in engineering to inspire greatness in young girls and fight stereotypes of women in engineering.
