The IEEE Rochester Section is having its joint meeting for all IEEE chapters on April 5th, 2017 that is open to the general public. The meeting will feature a keynote presentation and two parallel sessions with technical presentations from different chapters and societies. 

Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet and network with people from all engineering disciplines and to learn more about the activities of the different IEEE chapters and societies in the Rochester area. Rick Fremming of New York Power Authority

 

Topic:  Robert Moses Niagara Falls Hydroelectric Plant

Biography: Rick’s role is to monitor and support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of 13 hydro generators (225 MVA each), 12 pump generators, 20 billion gallon reservoir & 21 transmission lines. He is also responsible for troubleshooting these systems and finding engineering solutions. He has been with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) for 18 years.
