SenSaint AwardPankaj K. (PK) Sen (IEEE Fellow) received his BSEE degree (with honors) from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India, and the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (Dalhousie University), Halifax, Canada.

He is currently a Professor of Engineering and the Site Director of the Power Systems Engineering Research Center at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. His research interests include application problems in electric machines, arc modeling and arc flash hazard, power system protection, renewable energy, distributed generation, energy policy, power quality and power engineering education. Dr. Sen is a registered professional engineer in the State of Colorado.
