Registration opens mid-December — register early to get discounts and guarantee hotel room. Please remember the Robotics Competition is open to Region 5 IEEE student members who are undergraduates (only) at the time of the regional competition.  IEEE membership is required for all team members.  See the rules for complete details on eligibility, course, technical requirements, etc.  The judges will make the final decisions regarding interpretation of the rules.  Responses to questions and any updates to the rules will be posted in the FAQ webpage (see below).  Teams are responsible for checking this posting for current information.

Practice Time:  from Friday April 5, 2013, at 5 pm to Saturday April 6, 2013, 4 am (end times are tentative)

Separate Recognition




Announced at the Saturday Conference Banquet.  The decisions of the judges are final.  Prizes for the first-placed winning team is $ 800, for the second-placed team $ 500, and for the third-placed team $ 200. In addition, the winning team members (top 3 teams) receive, the National Instruments Award of a Student Edition LabView CD. The Robotics Report winning team members also receive the National Instruments Award of a Student Edition LabView CD.
