James Vallès

James Vallès is deeply involved in the field of Computer Science. Vallès is currently a Graduate student in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence at DePaul University in Chicago. Vallès is the Founder and Host of R4 SAC’s annual IEEE Summer Mixer, an annual professional networking event for industry professionals and engineering students from universities spanning 7 states.  Vallès also served as the former IEEE R4 SAC’s Communication Chair and Web Master.

Some of his areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, specifically Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Big Data. Vallès is passionate about Software Engineering and learning about all things tech and innovation.

Vallès, who is fluent in Spanish, previously produced and hosted a daily tech segment, which aired on ABC/FOX in Georgia. He is a member of IEEE, the Association for Computing Machinery, and is dedicated to coding for good.

Vallès is the co-founder of BNO News, B.V., a digital media company that produces video and text news content which reaches a monthly audience of 7 million people worldwide and has been cited by hundreds of worldwide media outlets, including CBS News, NBC News, FOX News, Sky News, CNET, Forbes, Xinhua, Sputnik, AOL, Time, USA Today, and others.

Additionally, Vallès works as an ongoing Software Engineering intern at the country’s leading Internet Grocer, Peapod – an Ahold Delhaize company
