Dear R10 Section Chairs,
Thank you for endorsing the proposal to R10 WIE support fund 2015. This year, R10 WIE received a total number of 42 proposals from 19 Sections.
Finally R10 WIE Subcommittee has reached final decision to award 29 proposals as stated in the attached file (find the 2015 R10 WIE Support Fund Results)
The decision is based on the quality/impact of the activities proposed, distribution of section, type of activities, and innovative ideas. Decision e-mails and confirmation sheet will also be sent separately to the Section Chair stated in the proposal. If your proposal in your section is awarded, please kindly inform the project leader and complete the confirmation sheet and send back to me. For the proposals that have not been awarded, R10 WIE would like to encourage your activities to be carried out and to seek support from local section and other sources.

Dear IEEE R10 Section Chairs and WIE Chairs,
It is my great pleasure and honor to announce the winners of the 2014 R10 WIE Professional/Student Volunteer Award. R10 WIE Professional/Student Volunteer Award has been established to recognize individuals who have exhibited exemplary and substantive leadership of an extraordinary nature in implementing activities which support the visions of R10 WIE at the local, regional, national, and/or international level.
This year, the R10 WIE Committee received 5 nominations for Professional Volunteer Award, and 5 nominations for Student Volunteer Award. After careful consideration, the Committee has selected the following WIE members as the winners of 2014 IEEE R10 WIE Professional/Student Volunteer Award.
The Winner of the R10 WIE Professional Volunteer Award -> Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan (Kerala Section) The Winner of the R10 WIE Student Volunteer Award -> Ms. Rajlaxmi Chouhan (Kharagpur Section)
Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan demonstrated strong leadership for promoting outstanding and innovative WIE activities for the Kerala Section. Her dedicated performances are really respectable.
Ms. Rajlaxmi Chouhan is a very active student for promoting various WIE activities in Kharagpur Section. She takes many initiatives that inspire others to learn more about WIE. She must be an outstanding role model for young female students.
Congratulations on your achievements, Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan and Ms. Rajlaxmi Chouhan!! And Best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year!

Dear R10 WIE members,
It is to inform you all that the first teleconference of IEEE R10 WIE volunteer committee 2014-15 was held on 18th September, 2014. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Takako Hashimoto, Coordinator, IEEE R10 WIE. Among other members of R10 WIE volunteer committee, Representative: Ms. Amanthi Ratnayake, Webmaster: Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Information Manager: Dr. Vijayalatha, Deputy Information Manager: Ms. Rohma Khalid, Promotion Manager: Ms. Rabail Raza, and Analysis Manager: Ms. Sowmya reddy participated in the teleconference.
In the meeting, Dr. Takako Hashimoto, congratulated everyone for being a part of the R10 WIE Volunteer committee 2014-15. On her request, each volunteer introduced themselves and highlighted their past and present contributions to IEEE and WIE. Dr. Takako Hashimoto explained to all the role of different members holding the positions, namely Representative, Webmaster , Information Manager, Promotion Manager and Analysis Manager. She also emphasized on arranging such a teleconference, which is a significant WIE activity. There was a brief but impressive question-answer session.
No other agenda to be discussed, the meeting was concluded with thanks from Dr. Takako Hashimoto. She wished continued outstanding success in implementing, updating, informing, promoting and analyzing WIE activities in R10.

Dear R10 Section Chairs and WIE Affinity Group Chairs,
It is my great pleasure and honor to announce the winners of the 2013 R10 WIE Section/Student Branch Affinity Group of The Year Awards.
This year, R10 WIE received 5 nominations from Section WIE AGs, and 6 nominations from Student Branch WIE AGs.Since all nominations were excellent, the selection was
extremely difficult.R10 WIE Committee conducted intensive deliberation according to the vision of R10 WIE, and finally decided the following two WIE Affinity Groups as winners.*** 2013 R10 WIE Section Affinity Group Award ***Winner: Kerala Section WIE*** 2013 R10 WIE Student Branch Affinity Group Award***Winner: Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (Delhi Section)Award certificate will be presented to these winning Affinity Groups at the 2015 R10 Annual Meeting to be held early next year, and the cash bonus of USD 250 will be sent to each of them.
