- IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Conference Travel Grants: This program offers a number of travel grants to assist IEEE Student members presenting papers at IEEE NNS (Neural Networks Society) sponsored conferences.
- IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Summer Research Grant: The program offers scholarships of US$1,000 to US$4,000 for deserving graduate students who need financial support for their research during a summer period.
- IEEE Computer Society Merwin Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes and rewards active leaders in the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapters. Up to 20 US$2,000 scholarships are available and awarded on an annual basis.
- IEEE Computer Society Lance Stafford Larson Student Award: This award encourages students to develop excellence in their communication skills and to motivate students toward achievement in the field of Computer Science. One award of $500 is given each year to the first place winner.
- IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society Graduate Student Fellowship: This fellowship was designed to support graduate research in the area of insulation or dielectrics. Two US$7,500 or three US$5,000 scholarships are awarded annually.
- IEEE Electron Devices Society Graduate Student Fellowship: This program promotes, recognizes, and supports graduate-level study and research within EDS, with at least one fellowship awarded to students in each of the main geographic regions: Americas, Europe/Mid-East/Africa, Asia/Pacific.
- IEEE James C. Klouda Memorial Scholarship Award: The IEEE James C. Klouda Memorial Scholarship awards a scholarship to a qualified undergraduate student who seeks an electrical engineering degree with emphasis in the field of electromagnetic compatibility or a related discipline, from an accredited US university or college. One award of US$1,000 for one student for school expenses (tuition, books, student fees).
- IEEE Life Members’ Fellowship in Electrical History: This fellowship in Electrical History supports either one year of full-time graduate work in the history of electrical science and technology at a college or university of recognized standing, or up to one year of post-doctoral research for a scholar in this field who has received his or her Ph.D. within the past three years. The stipend is US$17,000, and a research budget of US$3,000 is available.
- IEEE Life Members Graduate Study Fellowship in Electrical Engineering:The fellowship is awarded annually to a first year, full-time graduate student for work in the area of electrical engineering at an engineering school/program of recognized standing worldwide. The award carries a stipend of US$10,000 per year. The submission deadline is the first Monday after 30 April each year.
- IEEE Masters Student Fellowship: This one-year fellowship is awarded to promote, recognize, and support graduate masters-level study and research within the Electron Devices Society’s field of interest. The prize is US$2,000 and a plaque to the student, to be presented by the dean or department head of the student’s enrolled graduate program.
- IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowships: This program was created to support graduate research studies in microwave engineering. Fellowships are in the amount of $5,000 each, and the deadline for submission is 30 November annually.
- IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarship: This program was created to support students pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. Up to 10 Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarships in the amount of $1500 may be granted semi-annually to assist BS and MS students in electrical engineering.
- IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Microwave Engineering Fellowship: This program was created to support students pursuing a graduate degree in microwave engineering. Up to 12 Fellowships in the amount of $6000 may be granted annually to students pursuing a graduate degree in microwave engineering.
- IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Microwave Engineering For Medical Applications Fellowship: This program was created to support students focusing on microwave engineering for medical applications. Up to two Fellowships in the amount of $6000 may be granted each year to assist graduate students pursuing a graduate degree focused on applying microwave engineering to medical applications.
- IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Graduate Scholarship Award: This scholarship recognizes contributions to the fields of nuclear and plasma sciences. Four scholarships in the amount of US$500 are awarded annually, with a submission deadline of 31 January.
- IEEE Power and Energy Society Scholarship Plus Program: A scholarship for undergraduate electrical engineering students in the US, Puerto Rico, or Canada, or a permanent resident that resides in IEEE Regions 1 through 7. The PES Scholarship Plus Initiative provides scholarships and real world experience to undergraduates who are interested in power and energy engineering careers. Award recipients receive up to three years of financial support (total of US$7,000) and gain career experience through internships and co-op work. The award process is competitive, but as long as you continue to meet the requirements, you’ll receive US$2,000 the first year, US$2,000 the second year, and US$3,000 the third year
- IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes students pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering at the undergraduate level, and systems engineering at the graduate level. One scholarship of $5,000 and a certificate for a Graduate student, and one scholarship of $5,000 and a certificate for the Undergraduate student are awarded annually.
- Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Scholarship:This Educational Activities Board scholarship is awarded annually for one year of full-time graduate work in electrical engineering at an engineering school of recognized standing located in the US. The scholarship carries a stipend of up to US$24,000 and is awarded via a trust for which the IEEE Foundation serves as trustee.
- IEEE Presidents’ Scholarship: The IEEE Presidents’ Scholarship recognizes a deserving student for an outstanding project that demonstrates an understanding of electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or other IEEE fields of interest. Administered by IEEE Educational Activities, this scholarship awards US$10,000 payable over four years of undergraduate university study.
- IEEE PES G. Ray Ekenstam Memorial Scholarship: The Scholarship Fund awards an annual scholarship to a qualified undergraduate student who seeks an electrical engineering degree in the field of power or a related discipline, from an ABET accredited US university or college. The award of US$5,000 for one student for school expenses (tuition, books, student fees) and IEEE Student Membership for twelve months.
- The IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society President’s Memorial Award: This student award is awarded to an active EMC Student or Higher Grade Member enrolled in or formally accepted for full-time graduate study pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree, with a demonstrated commitment to the field of EMC. The award is $4,000 plus reasonable travel expenses (not to exceed $1,000) for the recipient to attend the presentation. A second award of $2,000 may be made 12 months later providing that the recipient is still a student.
- IEEE Foundation Educational Funds: Ensures that the brightest and most capable young minds have the resources they need to pursue a technologically-oriented education. Types of funds include: General Educational Programs, Scholarships, Fellowships, and Student Grants.
- IEEE Systems Council James O. Gray Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes students pursuing studies in process control systems engineering, plant automation or instrumentation & measurement. One annual $5,000 award for a Graduate student, and one annual $5,000 award for an Undergraduate student.
- IEEE WIE Scholarships: IEEE Women in Engineering in partnership with select universities offers tuition benefits up to $10,000.
