On January 14 of the current year, a new IEEE Affinity Group – WiE ISCTE-IUL – has been formed. This was a remarkable moment for the female members of IEEE ISCTE-IUL Student Branch, which intended to have a group focused on their needs and at the same time provide help and support to all girls enrolled in ISCTE-IUL engineering courses as well as those interested in technology. This group also intends to demonstrate the women strength in this area to Senior High School girls and that way bring more girls to the engineering areas.

No dia 14 de Janeiro de 2013 foi recebido com muito agrado o anúncio da criação oficial do grupo WiE ISCTE-IUL, o mais recente Affinity Group português. Nos últimos anos tem-se notado um acréscimo de raparigas a inscrever-se nos cursos de tecnologias da nossa faculdade, ao que é importante um acompanhamento e integração efectivos das mesmas. A criação deste grupo reflecte a importância de um grupo que apoie todas as meninas que integram cursos de engenharia ou relacionados com informática e tecnologias.
