On March 15, 2010 Filomena Soares, Celina Pinto Leão, Sandra Costa and Inês Martins signed the form aiming to create the IEEE WIE Portugal affinity group .
On June 6, 2010, the group received the letter of approval for the creation of the IEEE affinity group, unique in Portugal.
