The Signal Processing Workshop (SPW) 2020
It is our great pleasure, and an honour, to invite you to the Signal Processing Workshop (SPW) 2020 to be held on 18 May 2020 in Vilnius, Lithuania, as one of the four conferences during the 9-th Microwave and Radiolocation Week (MRW) 2020 (18-21 May 2020). The first Signal Processing Workshop was organized also in Vilnius as a part of MRW 2010. An idea to organize SPW in 2010 has been born based on the successful Signal Processing Symposium (SPSympo) series organization, which is held each odd year. According to many suggestions of contributors and participants of previous Microwave and Radiolocation Weeks, as well as participants of SPSympo conferences we are going back to the idea of organization of the dedicated event devoted to signal processing during MRW. We hope that the workshop will provide a forum for researches to present their latest achievements and to exchange ideas in the broadly understood field of signal processing.
The wonderful old town with historic streets, fairytale castles and modern new town – is the Lithuanian capital, located at the very east of Lithuania. In the latest “Financial Times” investment expert division “fDi Intelligence” rating Vilnius is named among the top five smart cities of the future, by evaluating the strategy to attract and retain smart businesses. Vilnius was ranked the second in this ranking and has been outscored only by Dublin’s smart business district Smart Docklands, but was ahead of such cities as Hamburg (Germany), Bogotá (Colombia) and Stratford (Canada). Vilnius is dynamically developing city with many universities, research centres and international companies closely related to information technologies and communications. The SPW 2020 will be locally supported by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University that, according to the latest “QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019” results, is among the top 100 best universities in the world.
The venue for the SPW 2020 will be Crowne Plaza Vilnius, M. K. Ciurlionio str. 84.
Conference proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore database and selected papers will be recommended for journal special issues.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Vilnius for the Signal Processing Workshop 2020!
