On 1-3 December 2016 delegation from DEIS Chapter in Polish Section was visiting the University of Southampton, the purpose of the visit was to tighten cooperation between DEIS Chapters from Polish Section and United Kingdom Section. The meeting was attended by dr. Thomas Andritch (UoS, Chairman of the DEIS UK) dr. Marcin Szewczyk (ABB, Secretary/Treasurer DEIS PS), dr. Maciej Kuniewski (AGH, Vice-Chair of the DEIS PS). Visit covered discussions about organizing joint-workshop in field of diagnostics of insulation systems, technical lecture for students and University staff, held by dr. Marcin Szewczyk , the topic of presentation was “Analysis and testing of new methods VFT overvoltages attenuation in the Gas Insulated Switchgear”. During the visit, participants visited also research and didactic laboratories at the UoS and the famous Tony Davis High Voltage Laboratory.
