Promoting Diverse Leadership

PES Women in Power’s mission is to advance the world through the creativity and innovation of diverse leadership, and to foster the careers, connections, and talent of women in the Power Industry to achieve their full potential to become the leaders of the future.

Women in Power is actively advocating for inclusion in all 9 PES regions, with great success in regions within the US and Latin America. In 2016, WiP hosted 9 webinars, covering industry trends, new technologies, and professional development. WiP also participated in 7 conferences in 3 continents, and featured 6 members from different backgrounds in the PES e-newsletters.

A diverse and inclusive environment fetches many talents, and strengths that can be leveraged – our large pool of talented members pioneer the WiP mission of empowering women, harnessing creativity, and fostering innovation to propel the world forward. WiP will host its first conference in New Delhi, India in March 2017 with a focus on technical and professional development subjects. In addition to hosting a conference in India, WiP will host its first Spanish-speaking webinar on January 18^th. More information for these events can be found on the WiP website.
