Extreme events are not rare anymore and their impacts on power grid resilience has already become obvious. This Task Force addresses the advances in power system resilience modeling, metrics, and analysis. System resilience will be discussed in terms of the ability of a system to function within an acceptable level of operation; and of its preparedness to disturbances and attacks. This Task Force will be focused on power system resilience metrics and evaluation methods that fall within resilience attributes. It will contribute to the development of resilience metrics that can lead to narrowing the gap toward standardized and universally accepted metrics, definitions, and indices.

Chairs: Mohammed Ben-Idris (University of Nevada, Reno) and Eliza Hotchkiss, National Renewable Energy Laboratory
