Jahangir Khan is a Specialist Engineer at BC Hydro’s Transmission Engineering Division. His professional career started at Powertech Labs in 2007. Since 2014 he has been working at BC Hydro – initially at Stations Planning department under Asset Investment Management (AIM), and presently at Transmission Engineering under Integrated Planning. He received his Doctoral and Master’s degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), Canada in 2010 and 2004, respectively. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2001. Jahangir is the Region Representative for the IEEE PES Region 7 (Canada), and the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Canadian Review magazine. He is the recipient of the IEEE PES Vancouver’s Outstanding Young Engineer Award. Jahangir is a registered professional engineer in BC and a senior member of IEEE.
