Bio – Graig Sabine

Craig Sabine is a Director in the Global Energy Practice at Navigant, leads the firm’s Utilities segment in Canada and is past Chair of Navigant’s regulatory transformation initiative. Craig has been a recognized leader in sustainable development and transitioning to a lower carbon economy for over 15 years in Canada and is engaged by energy sector leaders to understand the risks and opportunities inherent in the changing market.

As a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Canadian energy sector organizations, financial services companies and large energy consumers, Craig supports decision makers identify, plan and make investments in the energy value chain and sustainable growth. Craig’s clients that include Alectra, SaskPower, BC Hydro, TransCanada, Capital Power, ATCO, Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, JP Morgan and CIBC.

Craig has provided strategic advisory on over $25 billion in infrastructure developments and asset transactions over 17 years in the industry and has been a key contributor to energy policy, long-term planning and regulatory initiatives in nearly every province in the country.

Prior to Navigant Craig was a Senior Manager and Eastern Region Lead of MNP LLP’s energy practice and a Manager at ICF Marbek.

Craig earned his MBA from the Queen’s Smith School of Business and his BES in Environment and Resources from the University of Waterloo.
