Bio – Alex Nassif

Alexandre Nassif is a Specialist Engineer leading the planning studies of distributed energy resource (DER) integration in distribution systems and in microgrids, as well as of innovative power quality solutions. Before joining ATCO, he worked for Hydro One (Toronto) as a Protection Planning Engineer, and simultaneously for Ryerson University as a post-doctoral research fellow, developing wind generator models for load flow integration. Alex has published more than 70 technical papers in international journals and conferences and is an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. He is a licensed Engineer in the province of Alberta and a Senior Member of IEEE. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the UofA, Edmonton, Canada.
